Support From Oliver Kamm

The influential writer and commentator Oliver Kamm has thrown his weight behind the March for Free Expression. Following the demonstration of support for Denmark organised by Christopher Hitchens in Washington DC on the 24th Feb, Kamm began to organise a similar event for the UK. He has now urged his readers to join us on the 25th:
I know nothing about the gentlemen behind this initiative, but they have written to me asking for support, and they have it. I agree with the statement at the bottom of their site, and they have the support of people whom I support. I particularly welcome the sentiment:

"All ideas are capable of giving offence, and some of the most powerful ideas in human history, such as those of Galileo and Darwin, have given profound religious offence in their time. The free exchange of ideas depends on freedom of expression and this includes the right to criticise and mock."

And also, I would add, the right to give offence. If you agree, please be in Trafalgar Square on 25 March, in support of our Danish allies and the values that we share with that most civilised of nations.
