Statement of Principle
The strength and survival of free society and the advance of human knowledge depend on the free exchange of ideas. All ideas are capable of giving offence, and some of the most powerful ideas in human history, such as those of Galileo and Darwin, have given profound religious offence in their time. The free exchange of ideas depends on freedom of expression and this includes the right to criticise and mock. We assert and uphold the right of freedom of expression and call on our elected representatives to do the same. We abhor the fact that people throughout the world live under mortal threat simply for expressing ideas and we call on our elected representatives to protect them from attack and not to give comfort to the forces of intolerance that besiege them.Press Enquiries

Heh, did you post this before or after I left my comment on the other post? Anyway, I'll do my utmost to attend.
How about a series of (university?) panels on Freedom of Expression excluding MAC and certainly displaying the cartoons?
If they protest, you get publicity.
If they don't, you can say not even MAC opposed, and you get publicity.
Luke, MAC aside (and they really aren't our main concern), this is what the Ayn Rand Institute has been doing in the USA.
I'm looking into it here.
That said, the likes of MAC shouldn't be excluded from attending and saying their piece, if they want to.
I'm up for it.
Id like to go.

You need to start getting together a circulation list of supporters.
